After lots of dub, glitchy business and experimental brilliance, its time to get down and dirty with a variety of the behemoth that is house from tech to tribal to funky to fidget.
I’ve posted almost every Beataucue track ever released which says a lot. They seem to have become less tribal and more techy, but still retaining that ridiculous thumping kick. This remix is of South African house phenomenon Schlachthofbronx with a tune that seems somewhat familiar but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
SCHLACHTHOFBRONX – TULUM (BEATAUCUE REMIX)
Gucci Vump’s EP on Sound Pellegrino was fucking sick. He (Brodinski) has now come back to the illustrious record label to remix Bart B More’s ‘Romane’ EP to create a great house track featuring siren-like synths and machine gun hi-hats.
BART B MORE – ROMANE (GUCCI VUMP REMIX)
Speaking of Sound Pellegrino, they’ve done a VIP for their version of the classic L-VIS 1990’s ‘United Groove’. It’s even more stripped down than the original remix, with cut up vocals progressing into groovy breakdown
L-VIS 1990 – UNITED GROOVE (SOUND PELLEGRINO THERMAL TEAM VIP DUB)
Bit of fun from Mightyfools here remixing the chart topper and homosexual song ‘Fireflies’ by Owl City. If you know Mightyfools I think you’ll know exactly how this’ll sound. And look it out for their remix of the well old Crookers ‘Massive’ EP coming this April.
OWL CITY – FIREFLIES (MIGHTYFOOLS REMIX)
Foamo doing a tribal electro remix of Major Lazer with a ridiculously catchy bassline and sick vocals. What’s not to like!
MAJOR LAZER – BRUK OUT (FOAMO REMIX)
Haven’t posted any Bill Eff in a while. He’s always bringing sick tunes to the party. Jackin’, bouncy fidget house with a fresh Bill Eff twist.
JON-E INDUSTRY – WHAT’S MY NAME FT. LOC E (BILL EFF REMIX )
Neither have I posted dutch house prodigy Kid Kaio recently. Here’s a tasty remix he’s done for Urchins and Spoek with his classic bleepy sounds and subtle intricate beats.
URCHINS & SPOEK – TICKETS (KID KAIO IS HIGH REMIX)

Breaks lda. man and half of Zombies For Money, Klipar, released his debut three track EP on Basserk label on the 25th of February and it aint half bad! Some sick fidgety basslines and electro beats, you can’t really go wrong with that.
Sorry for not doing a best of 2009 like we said we would everyone. I mean I did my half of the post, but SOMEONE didn’t and SOMEONE is a lazy bastard. But enough persecution, here are some really quite superb tracks to ease the pain and in some cases cause more.

Wizard fave Udachi is finally back with a new original track, the first since rip snorter ‘Jellyroll’. It’s been released on the self titled EP ‘P-Funk Skank’ and includes loads of tasty remixes from the likes of Nadastrom, David Nada, B Rich, Costello and Ricorb. There’s no need to describe this track, its just Udachi at his best. Buy it on Beatport, support your artists!! But apparently we can give away a few tracks for free, sooooo……..
And check out his new beatport chart.

Here’s an array of tracks thumping around the 128 bpm mark.
When it comes to making electro bangers, Blatta & Inesha top my list. This track is no different, some massive usage of the Mightyfools sample pack!
KICK-OH – STOMPIN FT. DREW (BLATTA & INESHA STOMP ON YA PUSS REMIX)
Another release from the my up and coming artist Beataucue. Here they dum it down a bit, staying away from loud squeaky synths and bringing a massive amount of rhythm and smoothness yet keeping their trully penetrating kick drum. They remix new tribal/tech house producer French Fries who I also highly rate, look out for some of his releases.
FRENCH FRIES – PREDATOR (BEATAUCUE REMIX)
Released late last year, The Subs have created an Egyptian techlectro masterpiece! Really loving this one.
THE SUBS – MITSUBITCHI
This track was released even later last year, an absolute fucking banger from Japanese geeza Apajai. Nasty dirty bass.
AJAPAI – WHAT DO YOU HEAR
Blog Fluokids and Scion A/V have teamed up to make a 5 track sampler to represent their 5 years in the blogosphere. Here’s one off the sampler by tech hero Renaissance Man with their usual high quality.
RENAISSANCE MAN – FLUTE LOOP
I posted a few Alvaro tracks in 2009, I think he produces some really good ravy tribal house. I can’t seem to find him on myspace though, so I kow nothing about him! Here’s another great track by this elusive man.
CHELLEY – TOOK THE NIGHT (ALVARO REMIX)
Lee gets down and wobbly once more, this time remixing Cold Blank.
COLD BLANK – LOS ANGELES (LEE MORTIMER REMIX)

Beataucue have released a new remix of Jennifer Delano’s ‘Amsterdam’. It is of course brilliant, with their signature deep thumping kick drum pulsating under clever bleeps and cheeky synths. It’s more progressive than their earlier work, building up into rhythmic bliss and down again. Beataucue have some more remixes coming out soon which sound equally superb and better. Looking forward to the release of their remix of Sound Of Stereo’s classic ‘Zipper’.
JENNIFER DELANO – AMSTERDAM (BEATAUCUE REMIX)
AND ANOTHER THING! Another few more things. Lee Mortimer has been back to his best for a few months now. These two newish remixes caught my eye recently, both with grinding basslines, check em out.
BASSMONKEYS, BIANCA LINDGREN – GET BUSY (LEE MORTIMER REMIX)
FUTUREHEADS – STRUCK DUMB (LEE MORTIMER REMIX)
This next track was released for free on French label Bebup’s EP featuring Douster, Jay Weed and Arcade. A tribal feast, this track is slightly more techy than tribal however. Get the whole EP for free below as well.
ARCADE – JUGO CARIOCA & DARIO POPULAR (DOUSTER REMIX)
BEBUP – EPISODE 1
Tracklist:1. Arcade – Jugo Carioca & Diario Popular (Douster Remix)
2. Arcade – Jugo Carioca & Diario Popular
3. Douster – Allelujah
4. Douster – Allelujah (Jay Weed Remix)
5. Jay Weed – Asimbonanga
6. Jay Weed – Asimbonanga (Arcade Remix)
That was a bit pointless posting the track and the EP, oh well. Next up is Joker remix of Sub Focus, up to his usual purple mischief.
SUB FOCUS – COULD THIS BE REAL (JOKER REMIX)
LA’s experimental electronicmeister Nosaj Thing has produced an atmospheric and generally excellent remix of The XX’s ‘Islands’. His album is dropping this June and should be quite something!
THE XX – ISLANDS (NOSAJ THING REMIX)
Last but certainly not least is A1 Bassline’s remix of Fugative. This boy sure is good at adapting, now producing techy afrobeat bangers with distinction!
FUGATIVE – SUPAFLY (A1 BASSLINE REMIX)

Ok not that exciting, but some nice fresh music here, and a batch of mixtapes which we haven’t done in a while, not that you’ll need them after Mustard Pimp’s 24 hour one!
First up Skream’s newish track which featured on the superb Crookers Mishka mix. Its a tonking percussive menacer, with large snares and an evil beat. As the name sugests its pretty minimal, lacking in any large bass roars and just creating a pretty moody dubstep piece.
SKREAM – MINIMALISTIX
I posted a Numan track in the large update, and he has other very good tracks out, go buy! This is a MarchMellow remix, the same one which brought you the classic steppa ‘Reel Simple’. Numan uses quite simple yet orginal sounds to make his basslines in a clever way, and MarchMellow has used this to create a banger with an odd twist.
NUMAN – 7TH KEY (MARCHMELLOW PHUNK REMIX)
The next artist has some name, but is also known for their tribal/dancehall style infused into a sort of dubsteppy feel and bpm. Cool stuff, quite minimal but a real mover. Get the ‘Ayoba’ EP here. Highly reccomended!
SCHLACHTHOBRONX – AYOBA FT. SPOEK & GUCCI BANANA
I was sent this by artist Phono.o who I must admit have never heard of before. It seemed he was repping the future garage/new dub sound so I had to give his remix a listen. I was impressed and had to share his two chord purple wonder with all you.
ROBERT KOCH – GOROM SEM (PHONO.O REMIX)
SBTRKT is another artist who’s taking dubstep to a different level. Here is an original track which is actually a remix of Radiohead’s ‘Everything in its right place’, one of my favourite Radiohead songs, surely you can’t wrong with that! Obviously not said SBTRKT.
SBTRKT – RIGHT PLACE
Another artist which our mail shed light on is 10 Rapid. This original track is a real electro bleeping banger. With strains of D.I.M.’s drums and synth sounds but more techy, and a dirty bassline! A very large track indeed.
10 RAPID – IT’S NOT RIGHT
Now onto some dirty fidget/electro house mixes, all superb…..naturally.

This trully large update includes some tracks by artists repping the new dubstep style that boasts broken beats, purple sounds and simply more experimental behaviour. Artists like Joy Orbison, James Blake, Rustie, Sduk and Numan are just a few of this clever movement in electronic music. It is sweeping the scene, I mean how many blog top tracks of 2010 has Joy Orbison’s ‘Hyph Mngo’ in it, let alone at number one. This is the stuff we’ll be listening to or should be in 2010, the future of dubstep we hope.
This post is also bringing tracks by Bass Weazal alias Punk Rolla who are making some banging fresh techlectro house tunes. We also have tracks from classic techsters Riva Starr, Renaissance Man and new jacking tech-head Oliver $.
And finally some dirt bashers for all you decibel junkies from Kanji Kinetic, Figure and DZ.
16 BIT – CHAINSAW CALLIGRAPHY (KANJI KINETIC REMIX)
Big thanks to Kid City Blog from who we knicked a few tracks for this post.
And we DO have a best of 2009 coming soon, just you wait.
And terrific news, it seems as though all my blabbing on about Mightyfools has paid off, we have an exclusive interview with them which has been sent off and should be with you in a few days. Exciting! Enjoy the tunes! Peeeeeace
