The Bloody Beetroots are set to release their debut album ‘Romborama’ on the 25th of August. I’m predicting a mix of electro, punk, hip-hop and classical influenced tracks. I’m glad there are a few golden oldies in there as well, hopefully edited further to the album release. We have a low quality version of the second track of the album which is quite literally classical music infused electro. Not something which will blow your mind, but a good listen. Lets hope The Bloody Beetroots don’t let us down, but I wouldn’t mind too much, the album cover is fucking awesome!

You may remember us posting Bollocks Brothers ‘Fakin’ It’ a while back, and we were confused by the non-existence of Bollocks Brothers on myspace or pretty much goddamn anywhere. Well I just got my hands on The Bloody Beetroots album (don’t worry I’ll definately buy it when it comes out), and it turns out that one of the tracks, ‘It’s Better a DJ on 2 Turntables’, is this mysterious ‘Fakin’ It’ which we ripped off a Sound of Stereo mixtape, the only source in the world at the time!!! The album version has many more layers and is hyped up a lot, which is insane. Well I won’t give you the album verison, wait till it comes out, its fucking good, the whole thing! But here’s a reminder and a very teasy teaser.

And, probably my favourite electro track ever (and Mustard Pimp’s, but that hasn’t influenced me, promise!) ‘Detroit (Ghetto Edit)’ by The Bloody Beetroots is ‘Talkin’ in my sleep’ off the album. Again its edited for the album with different vocals and more sounds added. I think they used some Missy Elliot vocals on ‘Detroit (Ghetto Edit)’ so legally they had to redo the vocals. Being obsessed with the original for over a year now, I don’t prefer the album version to be honest, but its still amazing and I’m so glad its on there. Anyway here’s ‘Detroit (Ghetto Edit)’ in all its pride and glory, but don’t get too used to those vocals!
