MUCH DARKER AND MUCH HARDER TO UNDERSTAND

so we have been following RAFFERTIE like stalkers over the past few months, catching his every move and finding a whole lot of unfathomably cutting edge and brilliant music being released. now he has remixed the new trevor loveys/shab ruffcut release – very un-aptly named LOVE AND CHANGE – and it frightens me a lot.

not only in its inextricably toneless crunchy fuzzy rattle but also i think in its production, equally far away from his cheesy pop obsession that brought us remixes of britney spears and chaka kahn as it is from his sensational grime/dubstep killers like the recent take on the scarlot harlots’ BACKLASH.

prepare yourselves for mind splitting noise/ i am not yet sure how much of it i can grasp. but i thought those who have been following him should hear a little more – tell me what you think

  1. it won’t make your mates go “ooohhhhh dis is siiiiiiik” like the others did.
i’m reserving judgment ’till i hear it on a funktion1 system.

  2. yeah – i think it needs extreme bass levels to sound right – underneath the fuzz there is a really low rumble that doesnt come out enough played soft – if you hear it played you must tell me how it was
