Loads of new amazingly amazing stuff for you today. First up its Lee Mortimer and Laidback Luke’s much anticipated ‘Blau!’ EP with remixes from Doorly, Noob, Nacho Loversand LA Riots. I’m not gonna post the original cos you guys should really buy it, but I will give you the Doorly dubstep remix, a great dubstep interpretation of an absolute fidget classic.
I’m so glad this EP has been released. An EP of pure African happiness brought about by Douster, Myd, Radioclit and Lazy Flow. We’ve already posted a low quality version of Douster’s‘King of Africa’ which incedently is one of the best tracks all year for me, but here’s my other favourite track from this brilliant EP. Buy it buy it buy it buy it.
We’re all over every Sound Pellegrino EP. Even if the artist is obscure, there’s bound to be some big names remixing, and usually the original track is sick anyway. For Nouveau Yorican’sEP there is no exception. Grooving, rhythmic, bongo-filled music porn with remixes from the likes of Harvard Bass, Douster and Sandro Silva.
The Squire of Gothos blew my face off the other day when the first drop of their remix of B. Rich’s‘It’ll be Alright’ with a trully ugly bassline. Those guys are fucking nutjobs. Also a nice little remix of Jinder for ya.
Next up, new EP from Oh Snap!!, but I’m particularly excited about the Mightyfools remix, naturally. With classic thumping beat and whirring bass, Wizard faves do it again. The EP also features sick remixes from the likes of Jackwob and Treasure Fingers.
‘Pigeon Flu’, a banger resulting from the collaboration Blatta & Inesha and Mustard Pimp……isn’t out yet. Here’s some filthy Blatta & Inesha remixes to keep you going.
Just before my great escape back to London for the weekend, I have to get a few tunes of my chest. Seriously check out all these house and electro wonders.
Here’s some sweeeeet new tracks for you sons of bitches. Some dubstep and house. YEAAAH!!! In order of how I like them…. (the bottom track is still fookin tasty!)
Dance blog kings Crookers are back with two new remixes. The first ofFever Ray has a slightly minimal tune with a strangely catchy hook and a thumping bass drum. The second of Tiga’s‘Beep Beep Beep’ includes monotone distorted bass and high ravy synths. Great stuff.
Big tune awaiting from Lee Mortimer andLaidback Luke. We only have a sneaky preview, but enough to tell you that there’s a funky wobble monster on the way to tear your house down! The other Leetune is a remix of FranzFerdinandis a house version of the original but still very much enjoyable with cheeky synth lines and a thumping beat.
Fake Blood’s always on fire. The new remix of The Gossipbrings the Fake Bloodsignature sound and uses the vocals excellently. Also get your hands on their superb EP by buying it with the link below!
Sorry that picture is a bit intense, but then again it is Hostage with some new tunes, INTENSE! ‘Badman Sound’ really lives up to its name with whirring mental bass and ravy synths. Hostagehas truly switched to the afrobeat as many producers have. It also shows in his other tune ‘Hanging’which is more funky with an old disco sample and a bleepy bendy synth.
This mix really contains brand spanking new stuff and really sums up the best dance of TODAY! Get all the tracks off the mix when you can, some you can even find on this blog!
Afrojack is a tribal house producer from Holland. We loved his anthem which is his remix of ‘Moombah’ by Silvio Ecomoand Chuckie. Check out some of his other bongo filled syncopated and bleepy synth house.
Swedish funky house producer Style Of Eye has created some very interesting pieces of dance music. Loving his track ‘Grounded’ with some rather strange male vocals then cleaned up with some beautiful Arabic style vocals.
I’m loving Douster’squirky bleepy afrohouse. Here’s two remixes by the man himself both of which seep originallity and hold a certain look to the future.
AAAHHHHH! Fucking love this tune. An absolute anthem. Surely any lover of bangers will love this?! Also check out Sharklayer’s summer mix, even though summer’s almost over
Herve, the English ambassador of fidget has produced these two new remixes are of usual excellent quality, great production and pushing all the right buttons. I especially like the remix of ‘Ice Cream’, the original’s so cool anyway, with clever, hypnotic use of the vocals and whirring bass sounds piercing the inner depths of your brain. Be sure to get the remix of Calvin Harris as well which mixes it up between straight electro and a bit of wobbly bass.
Foamo has really come into his own this year. Producing some really memorable wobbly riddims (‘Wadance’) and almost poppy, feel good remixes (remix of La Roux’s ‘Bulletproof’). These two remixes show both sides of his talent, with the remix of Diplo & Laidback Luke being a wobbly fucking dancefloor destroyer, and the remix of Franz Ferdinand slightly more mainstream but still hitting the spot. Check ‘em out!
The Bloody Beetroots produce two very un-Bloody Beetroots tracks. One with hip-hop group the Cool Kids, which I actually like a lot, not being a big hip-hop fan. Use of a sample from the ‘Warp’ synth means you can’t go wrong anyway. And the second is a very chilled, 80’s style remix of Ryskee’s‘Leave Me Amor’.
Now a bunch of awesome new tracks from various artists of supreme interest
New D.I.M. original material (with a little bit of help from TAI) finally! This guy was one of the reasons I got into this world of bass, and its great to hear some new stuff from him. His typical glitchy, bleepy, bassy electro style taking over the show, with a new creepy twist to it. OH YES!!!!!
Again an artist sticking to his guns, A1 Bassline, with machine gun wobble and a thumping drum beat, this time swaying to the dancehall beat, like the blogosphere. He seems to like remixing Little Boots!
Its business as usual with AC Slater, remixing the wicked cool Dre Skull. Resonating bass throughout and some catchy vocals. Not groundbreaking, but certainly not to be missed!
Thats all from me, I hate doing these sort of mega-posts with no meaning to them, but then I hate not being up to date more, so there’s my lazy way of doing it. Enjoy these bassy goodies!
If you’re a budding producer, then buy this sample pack. It comes with 220mb of bass sounds, drum hits, fidget/electro loops and more from the best producers in the business. Its worth 20 squid but its definately forking it out if you want the same sounds that your musical idols prdouce! Thank you Mightyfools for going out of your way to produce this for us! Really!
As I still can’t get over their recent mixtape for their Australia tour, I got as many of the tracks individually (not including the ones we have already posted). All the Mightyfools remixes have not been released yet but they’re probably the best tracks on the mix. Thats saying alot though, check this shit out!
Herve’s been pretty average recently to be honest, producing realy middle of the road electro remixes. This one is an exception as there’s no doubting his producing sounds with variation and cool sounds and an excellent structure. Turn this one up loud.
We all know that Diplo is a very talented man, even though he sometimes produces a little bit of shit! This crunky number is definately one to get you bouncing, building up to a very ravy climax.
A bit of wobble/electro, niiiice, really hits the spot. The middle of the track produces a beautiful cut, pasting and layering of the vocals breaking into a superb drop with a mix of the vocals and a harder wobble sound. Well done Stevo and Danny.
ROBOT ROBOT ROBOT ROBOT! I’ve never heard of HeyToday! but I’ll definately be HypeMachining them alot now. What an intro to a fucking electronic distortion mesh of beautiful electro/techno. When the track stops and builds up, it resolves in a funky, feel good electro classic. Really really liking this tune.
More like a reslave! A 7 minute track of constant banging electro. Perhaps a little repetetive, but constantly change of drum and synth intensity you sort of forget about that. Lovely hi-hats!
Last but probably the best! BoysNoize produces and very bouncy number which will make you jump even if you’re a pretty cool guy! Could he have caught up with todays million miles an hour dance scene, I certainly think so.
still feeling pretty lazy at the moment but >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> with a wizardsarebetter affiliated night on the cards in london! in JULY, (possibly the 9th). i’ve become best friends with my email for the moment. wooooooooooooo. but here’s a fat list of the songs i’ve really been loving at the moment
.
the krazy baldhead cover of ghostbusters, that i LOVE, has given me faith in the future of kitsune. really not sure if the aniki remix of gigi and b&a has already been posted but it’s a monstrostity. got some proper dub from witty boy with his take on the infamous ‘bring it on’ and some EEEEEEEVILLL dubstep from cookie monsta. the song is named frontline and it will blow your mind. this guy is the best thing in dubstep (along with 16bit). a sick IKKI remix, classic felix cartal and amazing siriusmo. there’s the dancing done>>>
and a few others that i just haven’t managed to get outta my head. seriously////seriously good music. ttc and a feel good ganja tune. the best ganja tune. safe.
