I’ve really come to terms with the mimimal house out there. The funky, tribal and tech house stuff which is a breath of fresh air after a wobbly bouncy house era. Bloody Amazing / Leaving presents

A trully wonderiferous night we had at the Bloody Beetroots show at the egg. I had high expectations and they met them. Playing banging tunes mixed very well with a great soundsystem and just the buzz and excitement of having the two masked beetroots in arms reach! This picture was my favourite of the night! Favourite track of the night had to be the Bloody Beetroots remix of Sound of Stereo’s “Heads Up!”. They also played their amazing new track Warp, for which i’m sure fans have seen the preview video, to hear the whole thing in super high volume and quality was simply mind-blowing. Punks Jump Up also had a pretty tasty set, laying down some Gigi Barroco (awesome), Foamo, Fake Blood’s “Mars“, The Proxy and other banging delights. The beetroots also played this tune of tunes:

EXCLUSIVE TO WIZARDSAREBETTER!! a slight edit, adding in some hi-hats and middle section. probably my favourite track of the year. DIRTY, BOUNCY, SCARY with an almost classical melody.

crookers – il brutto (mustard pimp el burrito remix)

A classic Crookers track which has been supremely pimped, with references to the Bloody Beetroots remix which is also superb. They’ve also added in the much loved “Crooookeeeerrrsss” cry which the italian duo use in a few of their own. panic!

EXCLUSIVE TO WIZARDSAREBETTER!! really, i searched and searched for this song on all the blogs and it is either non existent or a dead link. One of MP’s first tracks on they’re first EP, raging blood. And wow, fast enough to be bassline, wobbly enough to be fidget, fucking grimy enough to be dirty electro and just good enough to be my second favourite MP track!

The original was great, the remix is……you guessed it, EVEN BETTER!! Staying true to the original but with the obvious mustard synth sound. How i wish i could make their sound…
