When it comes to dubstep, many people turn there noses up to the heavier sound claiming a lack of creativity or just a ridiculous sound. Surely when you here these tunes in a night it would cause carnage beyond imagination! So much energy and anger (in a good way). To all you heavy dubstep producers, please keep on taking the piss.

Three guys from over the pond in British Colombia, Canada have really stood out in the world of fucked up distorted dubstep recently. They are Datsik, Downlink and Excision. We’ve selected a few of their best, some of them collaborations with each other and one with DZ who is also a dub demon. Also check out Excision’s ‘Shambala Mix’, its actually pretty ridiculously good looking! BASS

Yet another post with no theme but the awesome power of dance music. More new brilliant tunes for you to blast through your earphones at full volume, let the nation be a hearing impared nation!
Fake Blood is probably one of the most sort after artists on the blogosphere. He even released a fake remix (of Darude-Sandstorm) to the blogs and they still hype hype hyped it. Luckily being Wizards which are Better, we saw through Fake Blood’s gag and even managed to laugh with him! HAHAHA! His new remix is not fake, but Fake Blood (i.e. fucking beaut). Once again captivating us with a georgeous melodic hook using his definitive Fake Blood synths and more, ultimately producing a, dare I say it, melancholic track. Amazing variation and just a wondeful tune.
Another blogosphere lover is Major Lazer. Boy do we love it. Now here we have five remixes of ‘Hold The Line’ taken from Mad Decent blog, they’re all freaking awesome. I’ll go through them quickly my genreising (I know its not a word) each remix. Skream: Very minimal afrobeat/dubstep. DZ: Dubstep/breakbeat with heavy, jabbing bass. Edu K: Minimal dancehall/afrobeat. Toadally Krossed Out: Interesting take on DnB using drum rolls. Audio Dakoos: Hyper dubstep with excellent variation.
Who would have thought that Lee Mortimer’s remix of ‘Rockerman’ by Foamo would ever be challenged. Dem Slackers did! And what a job they’ve done. The original wobble ryhthm, changing the tune and fucking around with it superbly!
A1 Bassline is always capable of producing wobbly bangers. But I do feel that his last few remixes (quite a few) have been quite samey in the use of his classic machine gun wobble sound. If you’ve been following his work for the last few months you’d probably know what’s coming just before the drop. But hey, this track is awesome no doubt, but what happened to the days of ‘Bad Man Horror Theme’, probably his best track. If you have no idea what I’m on about, then you’ll definately love this track anyway!
BONUS!!!!
Now we don’t usually have ‘Bonus’ tracks on this blog. But seeing as all of the above are brand spanking new, I thought that a track nearly a year old wouldn’t correlate. Its an old Mightyfools remix I found and I love it, amongst all their other stuff. Bouncy, bassy and brilliant; the least you can expect from probably my favourite artists.

We have some truly delicious dubstep for you today. Big shout out to the Hush House blog for a few of these tunes, check out their sick blog on our blogroll.
First we’ve got a naughty DZ bootleg remix of Chase & Status’s classic ‘Eastern Jam’, I say naughty because C&S’s record label have been coming down hard on people remixing it, bastards! It stays true to the original but adds some DZiness to it with machine gun bassy goodness.
Now Skream’s new track aptly named ‘Trapped In A Dark Bubble’. Its not your usual bass orientated dubstep blaster, its more of a journey in a dark bubble to a dubstep beat, with a muddy/bleepy bass pattern repeating throughout the track and electronic string sounds progressing as the journey continues. Bootiful!
Next a Starkey remix of ruuuude Wiley. Lots of lovely noises in the track ranging from dirty bass to hip-hoppy string tunes. ESKI BOI!
Now new kid Cheebs who we should definately be keeping one eye on with sounds that’ll tear your cerebellum! A nice tune putting a deliciously warped synth to work!

Udachi’s ‘Jellyroll’ is actually one the best tracks i’ve heard in a long time. So fucking powerful and cool! Dirty, dingey and use of sick samples and an unforgettable bassline, with his usual use of metallic and tinny but huge drum sound. Such a driving yet almost disjointed sound, UNMISSABLE! Electro/wobble/grimey bass in your motherfucking face!
In an earlier Wizards Are Better exclusive interview with Udachi, he gave us his top 5 favourite tracks at the moment. Heres two of them which will also blow your mind. With DZ’s chugging remix of Boltan’s ‘Nine to Five’ and Drop The Lime’s all over the place wobble-fest ‘Howling’. wow what a bassy post, my bowls hurt.
