Not only do we have many superb tracks for you, but its also worth reminding you for the 10 billionth time that Mightyfools are amazing and their EP ‘For The Kidz’ came out yesterday. Its definately worth a buy, especially ‘Hoo Haa’, my track of the moment. I’m not going to post ‘Hoo Haa’ or any of the others cos they deserve to be bought. But here’s loadsa free beauties ranging from fidget, electro, tropical, tech and dubstep. You may even get some more prezzies on christmas day if your lucky! But there is a guaranteed ‘best of 2009′ post to look forward to.
I first heard Nobody Beats The Drum on the Mightyfools‘Living The Life EP’ and was impressed by their non-conventional and off the wall style. Really quite all-over place electro breaks, as is the case with this original track ‘Purple Cactus’. We’ve also got a remix by best buds Dem Slackers, yet again surprising us with a change in genre this time to heavy electro. What will they do next? American skiffle? Maybe so….
Big fat post today. We owe you due to the serious lack of posts recently. Our excuse is holidaying, partying and just plain idleness!
Newish tracks from various artists here. Foamo, Hostage and Rico Tubbs produce high quality wobbliness as per usual, whilst Rusko and Skream bang out some devious dubstep. The highlight for me is probably Skream’s ‘Calous’ who is certainly back to his bass!
Mightyfoolscontinue to bring pleasure to the dance world with their new EP ‘Living The Life’ . You may have seen a video preview posted a few weeks ago, well now its available to buy off iTunes and Beatport. We have some lower quality previews for you below so you can check out a few of the tracks before you buy it. We have the original ‘Livng the Life’ which is a funky wobbler, the Gtronic remix (insane!) and the Boemklatsch remix of the other Mightyfools original ‘Juno’.

New tracks from Dem Slackers, including one of our favourite wobbly house tracks ever ‘Snailtrail’. What a tune, what a rhythm, in a nice minimal fashion. Also check out heir banging new mixtape, more from these boys soon.
Yet another post with no theme but the awesome power of dance music. More new brilliant tunes for you to blast through your earphones at full volume, let the nation be a hearing impared nation!
Fake Blood is probably one of the most sort after artists on the blogosphere. He even released a fake remix (of Darude-Sandstorm) to the blogs and they still hype hype hyped it. Luckily being Wizards which are Better, we saw through Fake Blood’s gag and even managed to laugh with him! HAHAHA! His new remix is not fake, but Fake Blood (i.e. fucking beaut). Once again captivating us with a georgeous melodic hook using his definitive Fake Blood synths and more, ultimately producing a, dare I say it, melancholic track. Amazing variation and just a wondeful tune.
Another blogosphere lover is Major Lazer. Boy do we love it. Now here we have five remixes of ‘Hold The Line’ taken from Mad Decent blog, they’re all freaking awesome. I’ll go through them quickly my genreising (I know its not a word) each remix. Skream: Very minimal afrobeat/dubstep. DZ: Dubstep/breakbeat with heavy, jabbing bass. Edu K: Minimal dancehall/afrobeat. Toadally Krossed Out: Interesting take on DnB using drum rolls. Audio Dakoos: Hyper dubstep with excellent variation.
Who would have thought that Lee Mortimer’s remix of ‘Rockerman’ by Foamo would ever be challenged. Dem Slackers did! And what a job they’ve done. The original wobble ryhthm, changing the tune and fucking around with it superbly!
A1 Bassline is always capable of producing wobbly bangers. But I do feel that his last few remixes (quite a few) have been quite samey in the use of his classic machine gun wobble sound. If you’ve been following his work for the last few months you’d probably know what’s coming just before the drop. But hey, this track is awesome no doubt, but what happened to the days of ‘Bad Man Horror Theme’, probably his best track. If you have no idea what I’m on about, then you’ll definately love this track anyway!
Now we don’t usually have ‘Bonus’ tracks on this blog. But seeing as all of the above are brand spanking new, I thought that a track nearly a year old wouldn’t correlate. Its an old Mightyfools remix I found and I love it, amongst all their other stuff. Bouncy, bassy and brilliant; the least you can expect from probably my favourite artists.
Oooh I love mixes! Especially where the tracklisting features loads of new, banging tracks (which we aren’t really allowed to post individually). This mix has been put together by the bad boys over at Ego Thieves, this is volume 6 of a bassy chronology to keep your summer HOT, even if the weathers shit. Dubfluencial 6 contains some of the best dirty dubstep around today, and its very much TODAY, including tracks from Wizards dubstep favourites Cookie Monsta and 16Bit, amongst other big tunes such as Coki’s evolutionary ‘Goblin’. The tracks are separated, which I always prefer, so the download is a zip file.

Company C has been a great friend to Wizards Are Better. He has pretty much the same taste in music, he shares his mixes with us, he even sent us some top tracks by other artists! A true fan. His latest mix again contains the best of the best in wobble (including my track ‘Mr Blobbly’!) and I’ll post one of the tracks he sent us which is ‘Outlaw’ by Mikix The Cat which boasts a nasty bassline and another which is on the mix, Lee Mortimer’s edit of Edu K’s remix of ‘The Joker’ by Dem Slackers, wow that was a mouthful, but worth it, awesome tune.

Thats it from me. Sorry about the lack of posts recently, one of the wizards is raving it at Dour festival, and one has gone A.W.O.L. (fair enough though, he just finished school). Hope your enjoying my posts.
Wow what a night. I’ve only just been able to reach the computer to write this. My legs and neck are still fucked from bouncing and head banging, but oh was it worth it! Above is a nice picture of Mustard Pimp who played from 11 till 12 and still fucking destroyed the dancefloor, even though one of the decks broke near the beginning, (we had a back-up thank god!). They had an awesome set playing a mixture of wobbly, banging and fidgety house including one of my absolute favourites by the men themselves “Oh La La Satan“, and finishing with their new dubsteppy track ‘Bagarre’ which I have fallen in love with, hear it on their myspace, NOW! Stereoheroes were next and played their stuttery, fidget style tracks and many other classics, with their own “Poundcakes” being my track of their set. Klose One closed the night with literally the best of dirty dubstep finishing off a superb night which we could only get to go on till 3, but wow was I out like a light afterwards. Big big big ups to Dem Slackers who played first from 10-11 with a small crowd, which isn’t ideal, but they still played an excellent set including Lee Mortimer’s remix of their own “God Is A Slacker” and closing with one of the best minimal wobble tracks ever made “Snailtrail“ which we hope to nab off them soon. After befriending the Dutch duo, who are fucking geezers, I find it my duty to post a few of their tracks which really haven’t had enough publicity.
Finally I’d like to thank everyone who came along, you guys made it, including A1 Bassline and the dudes from Love That Tune blog. And of course, big thanks to Dem Slackers, Mustard Pimp, Stereoheroes and Klose One who played perfect, perfect sets! Oooh, and whats that I hear?! Another Wizards Are Better night soon!? September!? Sweeeeeeeet.
and you all better come!!!! it’s gonna be an amazing night of carnage!!!! and bring all the friends you can. the more people the more mayhem!!! ticket below>>
