this photo made me laugh i really have no idea what it is but i like the idea of matching bad boy camo tops. not as good as matching wizard hats – i think we will start selling some soon. THAT could really kick off.

so i have been pretty much listening to solely dubstep this week and after seeing STENCHMAN play at sukh knight’s cheese loueez ep launch on friday i am extremely excited for the levels of humour and fun beign exerted in an arena of music considered by many as taking itself a fair bit too seriously.  FOR EXAMPLE: stenchman, accompanied by a brass quartet, played THE WHOLE OF RUSKO’S COCKNEY THUG WITH TROMBONES AND TRUMPETS!!!! AND I HONESTLY NEARLY DIED it was obscenely cool.

so any of you who do not know OR APPRECIATE it— get involved!  and if you need some material to start on i want to beast upcoming producers who go by the name of 16BIT. friedmylittlebrain posted a mixtape of theirs a while back and i have been binging on it since. they are hitting along the same enjoyment side of things with some really ridiculous levels of sheer bass experimenting.

Heads Up!

We’ve already seen what Sound Of Stereo can do with ‘Evil Panda’ which we posted last month. Incedently, its our most downloaded track on this blog by some margin! And rightly so.  But we’re now looking forward to the Heads Up EP which will be out on the 3rd of March. Listen to Heads Up on their myspace and also download their sick new years mix. In the meantime we have three remixes of Heads Up to drool over. They’re pretty similar but all very cool with that nasty metallic glitchy hook used in the orignal. at one with computers, he started out his musical journey using 8-bit amiga computers aged 15 (hence the name boy 8-bit) and he now creates stunning pieces characterised by bass, breakbeats and seamlessly chopped up vocals and spanning a multitude of electronic genres. few artists have been so consistently incredible throughout the last year or so. the suspense is killing me ep was one of my favorite releases of last year and i love almost every one of his remixes. the best…………its hard to decide…..

the kaptin over at chrome kids has been flying the flag for young welsh dub star STAGGA (along with the equally insane MONKEY) for the past few years, and i feel like not enough people are listening. these boys are sick!

if you missed my post of his phenomenal forthcoming track – SICK AS SIN, which will be released soon on rag n bone alongside the obscene ‘preditory control freeks’ - then you should get it. but the reason i am doing this one is to promote stagga’s last release on RUDEEZ, as you can see above – for no other reason than that it is insanely good.
